About Dr Khaing
Dr Myat Myat Khaing is a specialist gastroenterologist and hepatologist with a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and luminal intervention. She holds Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is committed to providing thorough, personalised care. In addition to English, Dr Khaing is fluent in Burmese and Mandarin.
Dr Khaing completed her basic medical degree before undertaking physician training in Queensland. She advanced her gastroenterology and hepatology expertise at Cairns Hospital, the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, and The Prince Charles Hospital, and completed her IBD Fellowship at Mater Hospital Brisbane.
She is a Staff Specialist at The Prince Charles Hospital and Mater Hospital Brisbane, and contributes to medical education as an Honorary Associate Lecturer at The University of Queensland. She is an active member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia and several other professional bodies.
