Dr. Khaing is an active member of several prestigious medical societies, including Gastroenterological Society of Australia, The Gastroenterology Network of Intestinal Ultrasound, American Gastroenterological Association, The Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE), and American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD). She also contributes to medical education as an honorary associate lecturer at The University of Queensland.
Dr. Khaing's medical journey includes completing her basic medical degree in Myanmar, basic physician training in Queensland and advancing her expertise in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Cairns Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, and The Prince Charles Hospital. Currently, she is undergoing postgraduate training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Mater Hospital Brisbane.
Her passion lies in assisting patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, upper Gl endoscopy, colonoscopy for colorectal cancer screening and therapeutic purposes, oesophageal disorders, and chronic liver disease. She also effectively manages peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, oesophageal disorders, and luminal disorders.
Dr. Khaing is an active researcher, with numerous presentations and publications of her studies at national and international conferences, earning her grants and awards for her contributions.
